Dublin-based financial solutions supplier CR2 is to expand its Eastern European and Asian networks with the opening of new offices in Prague, Czech Republic and Mumbai, India.
The new offices have been established in an effort to capitalise on emerging bank interest in the delivery of Internet and WAP banking services to consumers. CR2 says it has actively promoted its BankWorld and Interlink product suites to banks in both regions for the last few years.
Greg Hogan, regional sales manager for Eastern and Central Europe says enthusiasm for Internet and mobile communications is growing strongly in the Czech Republic. CR2 currently lists Rietumu Banka in Latvia and LG Petro Bank of Poland as Eastern European BankWorld users.
The Mumbai office is the second Indian outpost for CR2, which already operates an office in Bangalore. Rahul Parekh, managing consultant, and manager of the Mumbai office for CR2 believes the time is right for the company to target the Indian market. "Indian banks will leap-frog the online banking technology curve and adapt leading edge, complete online channel management solutions."
