S1 Corporation has acquired Dublin-based CRM solutions supplier Point Information Systems, for an undisclosed sum.
Point provides a range of sales, service and campaign management solutions to banks and insurance firms, as well as telecommunications companies and retailers. The company has approximately 100 employees and over 70 customers, primarily in Europe and Asia.
S1 says the acquisition will strengthen its multi-channel enterprise solution with Point's strong call centre applications, and extend its insurance product family and customer base across the UK and Germany.
Steve Ely, senior vice president of S1 Corporation, says: "By incorporating Point's proven applications into S1's family of Enterprise solutions, we will provide insurance companies of all sizes with the ability to significantly reduce costs, while improving their ability to service their distribution channels and their customers."
