The new portal will operate across the company's six affiliate banks and make it possible for Zions to deliver personalised content based on which affiliate employees serve, their locations and their roles within the company.

Currently, the BroadVision portal provides targeted reference and training materials to the customer service staff of Zions' Management Services Company. Set to launch in March 2002, the new portal will make it possible for customer service representatives to respond to client issues more efficiently by making more information available online and, as a result, reduce the time and costs associated with handling client calls, says the bank.

In addition, BroadVision's content management features will allow loan personnel to access an up-to-date corporate credit policy manual that includes specific policy and procedure information for all affiliate banks across the West.

Zions Bancorporation plans initial roll out of the enhanced portal to approximately 3000 employees, eventually expanding to all of the company's 9000 employees.
