Under the deal, Dimension Data will provide procurement of Cisco technologies and supply of services globally to the bank, based on the vendor's Global Services Operating Architecture (GSOA). This will enable HSBC to work through a single integration and logistics partner spanning its operations across 78 countries and territories, says the company. The bank will be able to monitor progress through a single Web interface.

Standardised global processes will be co-ordinated by a central UK-based Dimension Data team, but implemented locally via regional teams aligned with HSBC’s regional telecommunications hubs in the UK, France, USA, the Hong Kong SAR and Brazil.

Dimension Data will also provide a future connection to HSBC’s business-to-business Web-based procurement structure.
