Customers flocked to Twitter to complain about missing payments, unexplained credits and views into the accounts of strangers after the bank warned its account holders that online services and funds transfers would not be available during the switch over the weekend.

TSB has taken a phased approach to the switch to Sabadell's Proteo platform, migrating discrete services to the new system over the past few months. The big crunch came at the weekend as the bank shut down services to migrate all customer data over to the new platform.

News of the shutdown infuriated customers, more so as the bank failed to complete the work in the time allocated.

But even after the lights came back on, a number of customers took to twitter to complain that they could see a complete breakdown of other accounts under their own login.

Others reported unexplained credits or zero balances.

TSB apologised to customers this morning as the glitches continued to hit some accounts. "Unfortunately, there are some intermittent problems affecting these services," says the bank. "Both the app and internet banking should be up and running again soon."
