Mondo puts product roadmap on Trello

An online tool for managing projects and personal tasks, Trello provides a space where companies can keep staff and prospective customers up-to-speed with ongoing activity. Users get an at-a-glance view of projects and can vote on proposals as they appear on the board.

Mondo community manager Tristan Thomas says vote counts will be taken into account when deciding what to build next, "although our engineering time and internal priorities will generally take precedence".

"We fundamentally believe that as a company, we do better if we share with our community and gather feedback as we build Mondo," he says.

Near term improvements scoring the most votes on Trello include the development of Mondo's Android app - a early iteration was released last week - and the provision of basic budgeting for iOS. In the more medium term, the development of saving pots and introduction of Apple Pay are topping the charts, while longer-term plans to 'become a full bank' outscores other proposals.

"It’s always a challenge to push against our natural tendencies to keep quiet so that people don’t get disappointed when features are late, cut or changed, but we are really committed to making this work," says Thomas. "We’ll do our best to keep the Trello board updated and over time, I’d love to work out how we can bring all of our transparency efforts across the forum, Trello, Slack, our blog and Twitter together in a cohesive and easy to understand way."

Can't help but love a bank behaving like this. Just hope they make money and stick around.

Nice, hope the padded out the dates a bit otherwise they will regret that. Looking at the roadmap cant see anything that represents a killer-feature that would make me shift away from Natwest.

Maybe it is like a never-ending product roadmap like ACI's - every time its published the dates shuffle into the future and everything you want is always in "the next release"...

Nice concept for a Bank to adopt but they are not quite a bank yet.

Spoken like a "full bank" even before becoming one.
