Ameet Patel, the chief technology officer of JPMorganChase's LabMorgan division, has joined the advisory board of mobile software company AlterEgo.
"As AlterEgo continues to stake its territory among large global enterprises, it is important that the company develop focused expertise in financial services, a market that is an early adopter of new technologies and a solid proving ground and launching pad for broader industry adoption," says Patel.
At LabMorgan, Patel currently oversees technical due diligence, new business formation technology management and e-application development and consulting. Before the merger of JP Morgan and Chase, Patel was chief technology officer of Chase.com, with responsibility for delivering technology leadership for Chase's new economy business unit.
"Financial services companies have been aggressive in deploying mobile Internet applications and Web services to improve employee productivity and expand the value of client relationships," says Richard Ling, chief executive officer of AlterEgo. "With his extensive technology and business expertise in financial services, Ameet will play a critical role helping AlterEgo develop effective strategies to meet the needs of this market."
