Reuters has launched Refresh, billed as the UK's first ever juice bar and information lab specifically designed for business professionals.

The high tech venue in Fleet Street will open its doors on 18 June 2001, offering Internet access and up-to-the minute text, video news and photographs displayed on a state-of-the-art giant screen.

Reuters customers can also use smart cards to access the latest real time financial information and analytics from Reuters flagship service, 3000 Xtra.

Amanda West, managing director, marketing communications, Reuters, says: "Throughout our one hundred and fifty year history, Reuters has been a pioneer in the delivery of news and financial information. The opening of Reuters Refresh marks our continued commitment to combining the best news and data with cutting edge technology, creating a venue which offers our customers a twenty first century information experience."

The terminals and the servers for the information lab have been provided by Compaq.

Freshly squeezed and blended fruit juice will be available from the food bar managed by fast food and fresh juice retailer, Crussh. A wide selection of freshly made meals and snacks will also be available.
