Milwaukee-based application service provider Metavante Corporation has selected Brokat Technologies to provide the software for its next-generation consumer Internet banking product.
Metavante says the four-year renewable agreement will strengthen its ability to deliver consumer online banking services that can be accessed from multiple Internet-enabled devices, including mobile phones.
A financial ASP, Metavante claims to have processed the first-ever Internet banking transaction in October 1995 and delivers electronic banking solutions to approximately 450 financial service providers, including 18 of the top 20 US banks.
