Finextra first partnered with financial network Swift in 2003 to launch SibosOnline, a special purpose financial technology news site designed to keep conference-goers up-to-speed with news and views direct from the conference and exhibition floor. As the official online news service for the exhibition, SibosOnline is integrated into MySibos, Swift's online networking tool and freely available live on the Web for people unable to attend the conference in person.

Alongside our popular newsflash service and SibosOnline community networking and blogging tools, Finextra is this year releasing new functionality designed to further encourage dialogue, debate and networking at Sibos.

Sibos Photo Albums

Finextra has created a number of dedicated online photo albums, which the 7000 visitors to Sibos can use to store and share their photographs of the event with other conference participants and their friends and co-workers worldwide. To use the free facility, Sibos attendees need only register for full Finextra Community membership and then use the MyPictures tab on their personal log-in page to submit, upload and assign photos to one of three dedicated Sibos albums:

• Sibos After Hours: Shots from the Sibos hospitality circuit - whether that's an intimate dinner with clients and partners, or a full-blown night on the town with colleagues and friends.
  
• Sibos on the Exhibition Floor: Capture the full business buzz of the Sibos exhibition floor, show off your stand to the team back home and turn the spotlight on those all important client signings and business handshakes.
  
• Vienna the City: Share your holiday snaps of this historic European capital.
  

Finextra Community members can also join the dedicated SibosOnline group and share their views and opinions on proceedings with the global Finextra audience via our easy-to-use blogging and professional networking platform.

Sibos Hospitality Alerts

Sign up to receive advance e-mail warning of cocktail receptions and important briefings on the 200+ stands crowding the exhibition floor. Existing Finextra subscribers can add Sibos hospitality alerts and news flashes to their daily menu by logging in with their usual credentials. To be included in this free service, exhibitors should send dates and times to amy.walton@finextra.com.

Sibos Green Zone

The SibosOnline Green Zone will be the centre of all green, sustainable and environmental issues at Sibos. Enter our prize draw for a top-of-the-range mountain bike, offset some carbon emissions by participating in our green transaction banking survey, and cruise the floor looking for the SibosOnline Green Zone Member Logo accreditation on participating stands.

Sibos newsflashes and hospitality alerts will be operational for the duration of Sibos, from Monday 15- Friday 19 September. The Green Zone, photo archives and SibosOnline news and community dialogue will remain active on the Web throughout the show and beyond, to encourage extended interaction and debate long after the physical conference and exhibition formally closes its doors for business.
