Mexico's IXE Banco is deploying Vasco's Digipass two-factor authentication technology to provide its retail customers with secure access to its Internet banking services.
The bank will use Vasco's Digipass GO3 system, which generates a unique one-time password for customers to use when conducting online transactions. IXE has also signed up to Vasco's recently released Digipass for Java Phone system - a two factor authentication system that operates via a mobile phone.
Fernando Campos, who is responsible for IXE Banco's online services, says: "Our customers deserve the best security. Vasco's strong authentication products are an important tool to secure our account holders' assets."
Vasco says IXE is its first customer in the Mexican financial sector. Jan Valcke, Vasco's president and COO, says: "Mexico is an important market for Vasco, internally and as a business hub for Central America."
