Aegon Asset Management UK has gone live with Citadel Associates' Cadis data management platform to support core business activities and outsourced securities administration and fund accounting operations.
The financial software vendor says Cadis has replaced Aegon's previous front office data infrastructure for all asset classes, and is managing corporate data from Icon, Bloomberg, Factset, Merrill Lynch and Deutsche Bank, in addition to supplying all data for portfolio and trade order management processes.
Citadel says the framework will also be used to manage data to and from the fund manager's securities administration provider Citigroup Global Transactions Services' Multifonds system.
The platform, says Citadel, was chosen based on its business-focussed user interface, ease of implementation, ability to build in prioritised phases and its fit with Aegon's technical architecture.
Comments Christophe Ferrand, director, securities management, Aegon: "It was important for us to retain control of the data in our architecture regardless of the administration source."
Future phases of the staged deployment will incorporate performance area, key transaction processing solutions and the implementation of the Cadis Investment DataBlock (IDB) to support enterprise-wide reporting and analytics requirements.
