Chase, the consumer and commercial banking unit of JPMorgan, has contracted with ATM manufacturer Diebold for the supply of more than 1300 Opteva cash machines.
Diebold says the bank will deploy the terminals at new branch and off-premises locations, in addition to replacing existing ATMs. The deal follows a recent pilot of Diebold's deposit automation technology at Chase's operations centre in Columbus, Ohio.
The contract, which is inclusive of an associated service agreement, will also provide Chase with Opteva cash dispensers and advanced-function terminals.
Patrick Wright, SVP, retail operations, Chase, comments: "A fast, standardised and reliable customer experience is critical to the success of our ATM channel, and Diebold's product line helps us effectively deliver service to our customers."
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
