Bangkok Bank signs for Diebold ATMs

29 July 2005  |  5961 views  |  0 Diebold logo

Thailand's Bangkok Bank has contracted with US ATM manufacturer Diebold for the supply of 650 Opteva cash machines.

Diebold says the terminals will be deployed throughout the bank's 600 branches. BBL operates a network of some 1700 ATMs.

The machines will operate on Diebold's Agilis software platform - an open system that allows multiple vendors' terminals and technologies to co-exist on an ATM network.

The Opteva line features fraud-resistant dispenser and card reader, consumer awareness mirrors, recessed keypad and display area and privacy display filters to prevent shoulder surfing. Units also include a triple DES-compliant encrypted PIN pad.
