ATM manufacturer Wincor Nixdorf has been contracted on a joint tender to provide 1150 cash machines to Turkey's Ziraatbank and Halkbank.
Wincor says the firms embarked on the tendering procedure for the project together as part of a strategic re-positioning of their branch networks.
The ProCash 2050xe and ProCash 2150xe CCDM machines will dispense and deposit cash, provide account balance information and carry out bank transfers.
The first 600 of 800 units ordered by Ziraatbank have already been deployed and the installation of Halkbank's 350 machines should be completed by the end of July.
Wincor says the order will see its share of the Turkish ATM market increase to 22%. Barbaros Enginer, GM, Wincor Nixdorf Turkey, says: "Winning this project at the country's two leading banks means we've created an excellent platform from which to grow the business in Turkey."
