Euronet inks Indian ATM outsourcing deal

India's Centurion Bank has signed a multi-year outsourcing contract with Euronet Worldwide for the maintenance of its national network of 152 ATMs.

Under the agreement, Euronet India will provide the bank with end-to-end ATM outsourcing services from its operations centre in Mumbai, including transaction processing, network management and monitoring, security, cash forecasting and replenishment, help desk, incident management, maintenance and reconciliation and settlement services.

The contract also covers services for any new units deployed by Centurion Bank.

Shailendra Bhandari, managing director, Centurion Bank, says: "Euronet's ATM outsourcing and deployment model provides us with an opportunity to gain better cost and operational efficiencies."

Daniel Henry, president and COO, Euronet Worldwide, says with the addition of Centurion Bank, the vendor now has ATM outsourcing contracts with seven banks in India.
