CKB will use the Base24-atm and Base24-pos products to transfer processing of transactions from its network of ATMs and point-of-sale (POS) terminals from an external service provider, back in-house.

ACI says the two products will also enable CKB to introduce new card functionality, including support for EMV and multi-currency capabilities.

Jelica Petricevic, executive director, CKB, says: "We will be the first institution in Montenegro to have EMV and multi-currency capability, ensuring our customers will benefit from the most advanced services available on the market."

The bank has also deployed the vendor's Card Management System to manage its cardholder base of 50,000 cards, which it plans to double during 2004. The system will enable CKB to issue cards, maintain account information, track card usage and set ATM/POS transaction limits. It will also be used to provide PIN processing, card production and online enquiries and reporting.
