Milne quits Macgregor for SS&C Technologies

Connecticut-based SS&C Technologies has recruited former Omgeo head Kevin Milne from order management systems vendor Macgregor.

Milne has been put in charge of SS&C's international business.

SS&C's CEO, Bill Stone comments: "The acquisition of OMR Systems and OMR International, which closed on April 12th of this year, has strengthened our position in the EMEA and Asia Pacific regions, and Kevin has great experience to help us expand in both of these markets."

Milne has over 20 years of senior level experience in global financial markets working in both Europe and Asia. He spent six years at the London Stock Exchange before joining Thomson Financial, rising to the position of executive managing director for Thomson ESG where he was instrumental in forming the Omgeo joint venture. He was subsequently responsible for the venture's business outside of the Americas.

He joined order management systems vendor Macgregor in February 2002 with a brief to drive the company's expansion in the international markets, particularly in Europe.

Milne's departure follows that of Rob Flatley, formerly chief operating officer of Macgregor, who quit the vendor at the start of the year to join Banc of America Securities.
