UK-based Apama, a provider of trading strategy management technology, has appointed GL Trade's Darrell Monk and Bloomberg's Stephan Diaz as sales executives.
Monk was most recently director, business development at GL Trade. During his five years at the vendor he was responsible for selling and delivering customer services to financial institutions in London and Northern Europe - including CSFB, JP Morgan, Nomura and UBS. Monk was also responsible for building and managing partner relationships with companies such as IBM and Capco.
Diaz was previously at Bloomberg where he sold front-end trading systems to sell- and buy-side clients across Europe. He was also involved in product development.
Prior to this, Diaz worked in New York and London as a fixed income derivatives trader for Morgan Grenfell, Credit Lyonnais, Banco Santander and Svenska Handelsbanken.
They will both report to Andy Menzies, VP sales and alliances, Apama.
