Coexis, a UK-based provider of capital markets software, has appointed Donal O'Brien - previously co-chief technology officer at ADP Brokerage Services Group - as director of business development.

At ADP, O'Brien focused on extending the vendor's outsourcing and application service provider (ASP) systems.

O'Brien was the original designer of ADP Wilco's Gloss trade processing and settlement platform. At ADP Brokerage Services Group he had responsibility for sales strategy across all international markets.

He has more than 15 years' experience in the securities industry.

Coexis' syn~ technology is designed to meet transaction processing requirements, primarily for participants in the international capital markets. The vendor says its applications take advantage of a process-oriented, rules-based approach, which free users from the high cost of bespoke solutions and the rigidity of off-the-shelf packages.
