Porter has served as chairman since joining HyperFeed in 1997. He was also CEO up until December last year when he was replaced by president Paul Pluschkell.

In a statement, Langley says the management change "is the rather obvious result of the fact that HyperFeed has become a subsidiary of Pico due to our substantial investment over the years".

"With HyperFeed at a critical stage in its growth, it necessitates a greater level of involvement from Pico to increase the likelihood of success for all constituents," he adds.
