HyperFeed's Jim Porter retires

HyperFeed Technologies' chairman Jim Porter will retire from the firm at the the end of the month and will be replaced by Ron Langley, who is currently chairman of the vendor's principle shareholder, Pico holdings.

Porter has served as chairman since joining HyperFeed in 1997. He was also CEO up until December last year when he was replaced by president Paul Pluschkell.

In a statement, Langley says the management change "is the rather obvious result of the fact that HyperFeed has become a subsidiary of Pico due to our substantial investment over the years".

"With HyperFeed at a critical stage in its growth, it necessitates a greater level of involvement from Pico to increase the likelihood of success for all constituents," he adds.
