SunGard Investment Management Systems has released Exception Manager a browser-based module that enables firms to monitor and detect potential processing exceptions, including market-timing and late trading violations.
The module - which is part of SunGard's investment accounting platform Invest One - contains a comprehensive exceptions library and enables firms to create their own user-defined rules.
SunGard says the module enables users to focus just on exceptions, rather than having to manually review all aspects of an account, such as price exceptions, earned income and other account attributes, to locate those conditions.
Doug Morgan, president, SunGard Investment Management Systems, says the system promotes automated exception identification by coupling extensive rules evaluation and data interrogation techniques with a robust exception management engine and Web-enabled user interface.
