Urs joins the company from DSL Software, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank Group, where he worked for 10 years.

Misys says it expects to employ over 100 full time staff at the new centre, who will work closely with its existing UK team to develop regulatory and value management functionality for its Risk Vision product. The Bangalore team will initially focus on the development of Risk Vision on the .NET framework.

Michel Van Leeuwen, CEO, Misys Risk Management Systems, says: "The Bangalore centre will strengthen our product development process by increasing our overall capacity and broadening our skills base."

The new centre is the third to be established by Misys in Bangalore. Both Misys Retail Banking and Misys Hospital Systems have centres in the city.
