Bristol & West International has gone live with a core banking system, based on Misys Retail Banking Systems' Bankmaster LAN product, at its offshore retail banking operations in Guernsey.
The bank is using the Misys platform to streamline and automate manual and back-office processes and to comply with anti-money laundering requirements and OECD regulations on tax harmonisation.
Dave Hodge, head of operations, Bristol & West International, says: "When our previous systems provider announced a compulsory upgrade it prompted us to look to the marketplace for an alternative solution that would streamline our business, whilst providing the functionality and scale to enable us to grow."
The new Misys system became operational in December 2003. Bristol & West International says it will continue to work with the vendor throughout 2004 to introduce new functionality such as CRM and document image scanning.
