The Royal Bank of Scotland's Norman McLuskie has been appointed chairman of MasterCard Europe's board of directors.
McLuskie is currently chairman of the Royal Bank of Scotland's retail direct division in the UK.
He previously held the roles of chief executive and deputy chief executive at the bank and was responsible for support and IT services as well as for a range of customer-facing businesses and joint ventures. He joined the banking group in 1982.
McLuskie assumed the role of chairman of MasterCard Europe's board of directors on 1 January 2004 from Jean-Pierre Ledru, senior vice president of Crédit Agricole.
