The Global Insight Group, a UK-based provider of technical consultancy services for financial firms, has appointed Lloyds TSB's Steve Carter as programme delivery manager.

In his new role, Carter will head up Global Insight Group's growing card project portfolio.

Carter was previously at Lloyds TSB where he spent 17 years working as consultant, project manager, trainer and QA manager. He brings particular expertise in Chip and Pin, having been involved in the bank's credit and debit card migration. Carter was also involved in establishing many of the bank's call centres, especially loan processing.

He has also presented at seminars on EMV migration and strategy.

Global Insight Group says the dramatic increase in card payment projects on an international basis has forced it to employ another experienced senior executive to manage the division.
