Australian FIX engine vendor Cameron Systems has appointed Greg Orsini as technical director for North America and Hugh Emberson as a senior developer for the Asia Pacific region.
Orsini joins Cameron Systems after recent positions at Cedel Bank and Reuters where he developed the current Reuters FIX engine and worked on FIX deployments and integration.
He has more than 20 years experience in senior software development and systems architecture and has worked for a number of technology firms in the US and UK including Fujitsu, Silicon Graphics, Hewlett-Packard and Tibco.
Emberson previously worked at Westpac Investment Management where he was responsible for WIMTrade, the firm's equities trading system based on the FIX protocol. He also worked at Commonwealth Investment Management.
He has also worked extensively with the FIX protocol as a member of the FIX Protocol Encryption/Data Security workgroup and is author of the open source FIX/SSL utility, Poppy.
