Patagon, backed by Spain's Banco Santander Central Hispano, is to use the Xpress transactional customer management system and financial product distribution engine to provide real-time integration of banking and brokerage applications to Spanish-speaking consumers in North and South America.

The first implementation is targeted for the latter half of 2001 in Brazil and the United States. The initial project is underway. Additional implementations and rollouts will follow in Venezuela, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Spain.

Jorge Peschiera, Patagon's global head of operations and technology. "Profile/Xpress supports our organisation's strategy by giving our customers real-time, transactional access to multiple brokerage and bank accounts."

"Patagon is a significant win for Sanchez because it immediately validates Profile/Xpress as a world-class, real-time integration engine for financial institutions," says Frank Sanchez, CEO of Sanchez.
