Payments technology vendor ACI Worldwide is establishing a subsidiary in Athens, Greece to support its growing business in EMEA and provide local support to clients.
ACI says the new office will seek to capitalise on the increasing investment in technology by financial firms in the region. Banks are expanding services to cater for the high level of international visitors expected to visit the Olympic Games in August 2004.
Rod Bungey, regional manager, ACI Worldwide EMEA, says: "Being responsive to the demands of our customers is the key driver for the Greek subsidiary, but we also recognise that there is a lot of potential in the Greek and Cypriot banking markets."
