AmeriCard Services is using ACI Worldwide issuer authentication software to deliver online Verified by Visa services to its card issuer clients.
Verified by Visa allows consumers to use a password for authentication when making purchases at participating online stores.
Nancy Linxwiler, director, business research, AmeriCard Services, says: "With Internet commerce on the rise, we wanted to provide a solution enabling card issuers to promote Verified by Visa secure shopping with their cardholders."
ACI says its authentication service is designed to promote consumer confidence in shopping on the Internet. Mark Vipond, president of ACI Worldwide, adds: "Processors like AmeriCard not only have a solution that supports Internet access, they also have a framework to support a wide array of multi-channel consumer access points including mobile devices such as PDAs."
