Germany's HVB Group is rolling out Front Capital Systems' Front Arena product to 500 positions within its sales distribution, trading, risk management and back office departments.
Under the multi-year, multi-million dollar global agreement, the group will use Front Arena to support its fixed income, derivatives and equities operations.
Furthermore, the companies have formed a strategic development partnership and have agreed to develop a middleware-based component architecture that will support further platform improvements.
Reinhard Eschbach, chief information officer for corporates and markets at HVB Group, says: "Under the agreement, we succeed in securing the long-term efficiency and cost benefits of a 'buy' solution, while also retaining a direct influence on the product development."
