Hello All,

I work as an investment professional for TA Associates, one of the world's largest global private equity firms with over $10 billion under management and the leading investor in the financial technology sector.

Recent investments of ours include: SmartStream Technologies (trade reconciliation software), OpenLink Software (trading and risk management solutions for energy markets), ION Trading (fixed-income market gateways), InterContinentalExchange (electronic marketplace for global commodities), Creditex (electronic execution services for credit derivatives market) and GlobeOp (back-office services for hedge funds).

A very appropriate choice of topic. I will be keenly following your blog, just like many others already are.

I expect the PE world to compete with the hungry System Integrators (SI's) and technology firms for Fintech investments.

All the SI's and specially the mid tier ones, I speak to are actively scouting for suitable IP to invest in, backed up by a considerable war chest. I would not be surprised if many of them sprout their own mini PE divisions.
