Post Trade a Nirvana?

For far too long there has been too much emphasis on vertical business and operations at the expense of the investor's requirements. The financial crisis has clearly demonstrated that a vertical business and a silo based approach can cause large and small financial services firms to be infected with massive industry systemic problems that ultimately bring chaos, financial loss, reputational risk and  of  course in the end a economic downturn. In order to provide a focus for improved horizontal understanding in the Post Trade operational space, the Post Trade Forum has been created by B.I.S.S. Research & Finextra.

The Forum will focus on industry issues on a broad front from wholesale sell-side firms to retail buy-side investors on a multi-asset class basis. The Forum will naturally dip into front office issues where it has a direct bearing on middle and back office operations and investor services.

The inaugural debate will delve into the highly topical issues around Clearing Houses on the morning of 23rd June at the London Stock Exchange, who have kindly offered to host. Top quality experts who are helping to shape the European markets and will be taking part in the interactive debate and sharing their knowledge and insights with other participants.

Post-Trade Forum

The Post Trade Forum's aim is to propagate debate and discussion between senior practitioners in Post Trade Operations in the global securities market; to bring about increased awareness and knowledge across both buy-side and sell-side financial institutions in financial products and be a focal point for firms and practitioners to air views.
