OpenOffice 3.0 is available to download now - or rather - would be if it weren't for everyone else on the planet trying to do so at the same time.

At the time of writing if you visit the OpenOffice.org site you are presented with an apology screen.

Still, it is free and I am not complaining. I'll leave it a day or two. Should be interesting to try out tho' as this one will read the latest Microsoft Office file formats and supposedly works nicely on the Mac.
