Juni, the financial platform built for ecommerce, has today announced the expansion of its leadership team, appointing Ambreen Khasru as its new Vice President Regulatory & Oversight Officer.

Juni expands leadership team with new Vice President Regulatory & Oversight Officer
The appointment is part of Juni’s efforts to strengthen its compliance function and build on its position as Europe’s fastest growing fintech start-up. In addition to her position as UK Managing Director, Ambreen Khasru, will be responsible for further establishing and executing Juni’s global risk and compliance function, reporting to CEO and Co-founder, Samir El-Sabini.

Ambreen joins Juni from Fintech start-up Zilch where she was Chief Compliance Officer, responsible for the UK compliance function and developing the Compliance Management Programme from scratch for Zilch’s US launch. She brings a wealth of experience in business banking, regulation, and business development. Prior to her role at Zilch, Ambreen spent a period of three years at Monese, holding roles as Head of Business Banking and Head of Licensing, and most notably working to secure necessary permissions to operate in the EU post Brexit.

In her new role as VP Regulatory & Oversight Officer at Juni, Ambreen will be responsible for helping Juni fulfil compliance responsibilities and manage risk, legal security, and brand reputation. She will lead the team to ensure that Juni has the right processes and policies in place to support customers and encourage growth by providing regulatory insights around product fit for current and future markets.

Ambreen Khasru’s appointment as VP Regulatory & Oversight Officer is the latest of Juni’s senior hires, including Colin Moss-Davies as VP of Sales and Timo Gerken as VP of RevOps who joined earlier this year. With 20+ years experience in Sales, 16 years in financial services and 11 years leading European sales teams, Moss-Davies joins Juni from PayPal where he was a Senior Director and Head of Sales for PayPal UK. During his time at PayPal he led multiple high performing sales teams in the UK and Europe. His experience includes a global sales transformation, where he navigated the European team through a significant re-organisation of the PayPal business. He joined PayPal via Braintree Payments, where he was accountable for creating and executing Braintree’s new business sales strategy for EMEA. Meanwhile, Gerken brings 20-years’ experience across the digital media, entertainment, telecommunications and payment industries, also joining from his last appointment at PayPal where he was Director of RevOps and Enablement. He has previously held positions at companies including Ubisoft, FANDOM and ESL Gaming.
