PensionBee appoints former Klarna exec Lara Oyesanya to the board

Leading online pension provider, PensionBee, is pleased to announce the appointment of Lara Oyesanya to the Board as a Non-Executive Director.

Lara is the General Counsel and Company Secretary at Zepz Group, the international money transfer service operating across its main brands, WorldRemit and SendWave, serving as a member of their executive team.

She has extensive legal, regulatory and commercial experience across multiple industries, as well as significant compliance, governance and data privacy expertise. She was previously General Counsel and Chief Risk Officer at Contis Group and has held a number of senior roles at FTSE 100 and financial services businesses including Klarna and Barclays.

Lara is a barrister of the Supreme Court of Nigeria and a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. She is a member of the Nominating and Governance Committee at Plan International Worldwide and a co-opted Member of the Committee on Benefactions and External and Legal Affairs, a committee of the University of Cambridge Council, advising the Vice Chancellor.

Additionally, Lara is a Trustee of the Shaw Trust, a charity helping to transform the lives of young people and adults across the UK and Plan International UK, the UK branch of the global children's rights non-profit organisation.
