Financial Technology Association appoints Tom Davis VP, membership and development

The Financial Technology Association (FTA) today announced Tom Davis as Vice President of Membership and Development, bolstering the organization’s senior staff roster.

Davis brings over a decade of experience in directing, marketing, and developing membership-based organizations to his role at FTA.

“We are excited to welcome Tom as a core part of our growing team,” said Penny Lee, CEO of the Financial Technology Association. “His background in strategy, marketing, and development will help FTA better serve our members and grow into the future.”

Before joining FTA, Tom worked as the Global Membership Director for Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a global member organization of over 30,000 chief executives. He also served as the Director of Business Development for The Conference Board’s CEO membership, overseeing the development and strategic partnerships while connecting its member base to its core policy issues.

“I’m thrilled to join FTA at such a pivotal moment for the financial technology industry,” said Tom Davis. “I look forward to serving our innovative and exciting member companies and helping FTA grow as an organization.”

Tom spent much of his career at SnowSports Industries America (SIA) and initially honed his skills developing membership-based models at the Hanover Research Council, a global information member services firm. Tom invests in several start-ups organizations and maintains a strategic advisor role in the locally based start-up indoor ski resort, Alpine-X.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, with a Minor in Music Composition, from Drew University, in Madison, New Jersey.
