Peppercoin names Charles Caserta vice president of sales and market development

Peppercoin, a payments technology company that enables profitable new business models for low-priced goods, services and digital content, today announced that Charles Caserta has joined the company as vice president of sales and market development.

Caserta will lead Peppercoin's financial services partnerships and merchant sales programs. He will report directly to Mark Friedman, president and CEO of Peppercoin.

"Charlie's outstanding domain knowledge of card associations and financial and banking technologies, combined with his excellent track record of working with growing companies to achieve success, make him a valuable addition to the Peppercoin team," said Mark Friedman, president and CEO of Peppercoin. "We will leverage his expertise to continue our rapid growth and market leadership."

Caserta has more than 20 years of sales experience. Prior to joining Peppercoin, Caserta served as executive vice president of business development and chairman of the board at Thornebrook Associates, a strategic consulting firm specializing in financial services and technology. He also served as president and CEO of Livewire, a leader in kiosk solutions technology, where he increased sales 380 percent within the first eight months.

Previously, Caserta was president and co-founder of IFS International, Inc., a company that developed and licensed financial transaction authorization and debit card management systems. He established IFS as the leading system supplier in Eastern Europe and built a strategic distribution network in Asia that included MasterCard, Visa, IBM, Digital, Prime Systems, Sequent, Citibank, Verifone and Stratus for nine countries from Japan to India. Caserta earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Villanova University.
