CMSPI hires former Amazon exec Liz Garner as head of strategic partnerships

CMSPI, the global leader in retail payments advisory announced Liz Garner, former Principal for Strategic Payment Acceptance Initiatives at Amazon, has joined as Head of Strategic Partnerships.

Liz will lead a team focused on helping foster collaboration between all areas of retail payments, with the goal to help drive further productivity, innovative tools, transparency, and higher performance.

“Liz has extensive experience in merchant payments, and an exceptional track record for building successful partnerships, making her the perfect match for this role,” said Elley Frost, President, North America of CMSPI. “Liz will be an asset as we continue to grow and as we look to expand on and develop our existing analytical and consulting toolkit.”

Garner joins CMSPI from Amazon where she most recently served as principal product manager of payment acceptance strategic initiatives and business development after leading Amazon’s US federal payments and financial services policy. Previously Garner served as senior vice president of the Merchant Advisory Group. Garner has also held roles at the National Restaurant Association and the Food Marketing Institute (FMI).
