Acin, the SaaS company pioneering the global standard for operational risk control, has today announced the appointment of Tracy Clarke as a Non-Executive Director and strategic consultant.

Tracy is the latest senior figure to join Acin, whose market-defining solution has been widely adopted by the world’s most significant financial institutions.

Tracy will join Acin in driving change in the financial services industry by equipping firms to quantify and calibrate their operational risk controls - currently a subjective and manual discipline - across the business. Her years spent at the heart of top-tier banking organizations will be invaluable as Acin continues to pioneer technology innovation and extend into new markets.

Tracy brings with her a wealth of industry experience and knowledge, having held a range of senior executive positions at Standard Chartered Bank, where she was Private Bank CEO and Regional CEO, Europe & Americas simultaneously. Tracy led both businesses for a number of years, working across corporate, institutional and private banking on critical business issues including compliance, financial crime, corporate affairs, culture and climate change, maintaining strong growth through this period.

Paul Ford, CEO of Acin, said: “Tracy brings a unique blend of global and regional business leadership, coupled with deep functional expertise in running complex global financial institutions. Her insights will be a real asset to Acin, both on our board and in driving forward the change we’re pioneering in financial services operational risk control. As we keep moving from strength to strength, launching new products and business lines and signing world-leading institutions such as J.P. Morgan, I’m thrilled to be welcoming such a knowledgeable and accomplished mind to work alongside us in our next stage of growth.”

Tracy Clarke, Non-Executive Director at Acin, commented: “Having followed the Acin story so far, and witnessed the industry’s keen interest in joining the Acin Network, I am excited to join the firm on its mission to transform operational risk control. Having spent many years in banking myself, it is clear that the board, and other senior stakeholders, need greater visibility of their own firm’s operational risk appetite when making strategic decisions. And regulators need more clarity around the effectiveness of a firm’s operational risk control environment. In Acin, we finally have a solution that brings objectivity and collaboration to operational risk control and has the capacity to increase effectiveness across the three lines of defense. I look forward to working with Acin to make a deep and lasting impact on the financial services sector.”

Tracy’s career in financial services has spanned over 30 years. She has extensive board-level experience, as well as a strong interest in corporate governance and team management. Her prior roles include: Non-Executive Director at Sky and Inmarsat, Director of Zodia Holdings, Director of Standard Chartered Bank, Supervisory Board Chair at Standard Chartered AG and Director and Audit & Risk Committee member at TheCityUK. Tracy is currently a Non-Executive Director at Starling Bank, TP ICAP and the All England Netball Association.

Tracy joins fellow banking industry veteran Sally Clark, former Chief Internal Auditor at Barclays and current NED at both Citigroup and Metro Bank, on Acin’s board. Other advisors and investors in the business include Cris Conde, former President and CEO of SunGard, Shea Wallon, Managing Director of Fitch Ventures and Stephen Chandler, Managing Partner at Notion.
