BRYTER, the no-code service automation platform that enables anyone to build enterprise service applications, has appointed Eugene Shim as its new Vice President of Sales. Based in Boston, he joins BRYTER’s team at a time of rapid development for the company and his experience and extensive network will help drive growth for the business, particularly in the North American markets.

With nearly 20 years of experience growing and managing large enterprise customers, Eugene is a strategic leader who has successfully built and led top-performing global teams. He brings to BRYTER a passion for all facets of sales and a focus on driving the company towards becoming a leader in automation.

Eugene most recently oversaw US sales for Mendix, a hypergrowth leader in the low-code space. At Mendix, he also led the Global Channel and Alliances division to achieve record revenues while the company surpassed $100M in Annual Recurring Revenue. Prior to Mendix, he held multiple senior sales leadership roles at Nasdaq’s Corporate Services division where he helped the C-suite of FORTUNE 1000 companies leverage technology to improve business results.

This appointment further enhances BRYTER’s sales team, as momentum continues to build in the business following the recently announced $66m Series B funding round, led by Tiger Global. As the sales team continues to drive this growth, with particular emphasis on North America, BRYTER plans to expand the team from 15 people currently to 65 by the end of the year. Eugene’s appointment follows the recent appointments of Ross Moynihan, who joined BRYTER in October 2020 as Global Director of Commercial Growth & Business Development from his role as European SDR Head at Datadog, and Tony Ensinger in the US and Patrick Skinner in the UK, both joining from KIRA and focusing on legal and corporate markets respectively.

Eugene Shim, VP of Sales at BRYTER said:
“Designating Automation as a corporate priority has become more of a ‘when’ than an ‘if’. Growing business demands, developer shortages and now virtual working environments are forcing companies to allocate human resources more effectively. The future leaders in this space will be those who offer a platform that is truly tailored for business users, while powerful enough to meet complex business requirements. I am excited to be joining BRYTER to help accelerate our growth, particularly in the US corporate market. Our platform is leveraged by citizen developers to create mission-critical applications that accurately transfer their expert knowledge. The recent funding reflects confidence in our future growth and affirms that our clients realize value while freeing up time for strategic initiatives.”

Micha Bues, Co-founder and CCO of BRYTER said:
“We have been impressed by Eugene from the start - a brilliant strategic thinker and a sharp analytical mind, but a senior leader that people love and respect. He has experienced the requirements of hypergrowing companies several times and brings with him additionally experiences from the automation market. We believe he is the perfect profile to support our growth in the North American markets.”
