Peppercoin adds Robert Wechsler to board of directors

Peppercoin, a payments technology company that enables profitable new business models for low-priced goods, services and digital content, today announced that Robert Wechsler, executive vice president, Global Sales and Client Service, Chase Paymentech Solutions, has been appointed to Peppercoin's Board of Directors.

Wechsler will help the company's management team shape future company strategy and product direction, and will offer his expertise as an executive in financial services.

Chase Paymentech is the nation's largest transaction processor, last year processing more than 13 billion transactions worth more than $500 billion. Wechsler is responsible for sales, business development, strategic alliances and client services for Chase Paymentech's proprietary multi-channel platform, as well as national retail, travel and entertainment, card-not-present and emerging markets.

Prior to joining Chase Merchant Services, Wechsler served as Vice President of North America for Schlumberger, Executive Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing for Convergent Group Corporation, and Founder and Chief Operating Officer for Link2Gov Corporation. He holds a law degree with honors from Hofstra University in New York, and a bachelor's degree in psychology from S.U.N.Y. Fredonia in New York.

Other members of Peppercoin's Board of Directors include company co- founders Silvio Micali and Ron Rivest, Peppercoin CEO and President Mark Friedman, Peter Lawrence, founding partner at Pod Holding, Adam Lichtenstein, CFA, partner at Wall Street Technology Partners LP and W. Thomas Smith, Jr., founder and managing partner of Total Technology Ventures.
