Reuters has made two strategic hires to its Reuters Data Feed Direct team.
The move shows the importance Reuters attaches to meeting the explosion in demand for direct feeds which has made supporting Reuters Data Feed Direct, the company's ultra low latency direct exchange feed handler, a top priority within Enterprise Information.
To help achieve this Reuters has hired Bill Ruvo as Business & Commercial Manager for Reuters Data Feed Direct. Ruvo joins from Interactive Data Corporation (IDC) where he was VP, Business Development and where he was responsible for the development and execution of IDC ComStock's direct market access initiative.
Supporting him as Customer Proposition Manager will be Judy Musho who also comes from IDC where she was Manager of Strategic Accounts their real time products and responsible for new revenues.
Mike Powell, Global Head of Real-time Enterprise Information: "Reuters are excited to have two such experienced people on our team. Bill and Judy will help us in our ambition to become the leading provider of low latency direct feed capabilities."
Bill Ruvo, Business & Commercial Manager, Reuters Data Feed Direct, said: "Reuters sees immediate opportunities in direct market access. The company is uniquely positioned to present a compelling value proposition. Our performance of less than one millisecond for data delivery across Reuters Data Feed Direct puts us ahead of the competition. In addition the managed nature of our service is unparalleled."
