MDOTM, the advisory firm that uses Artificial Intelligence to develop investment strategies to support institutional investors, strengthens its international presence by expanding the team based in London.

Two experienced figures, James Cahill and Yvonne Pichert, are joining the Business Development team as Senior Vice Presidents.

Yvonne Pichert, with more than 15 years of experience in the asset management industry, worked for over a decade as Investment Director at Wellington Management, where she managed large institutional clients at a global level. More recently, she has gained experience in the startup field as a director at a systematic prop-trading firm.

Prior to MDOTM, James Cahill worked for Cohen and Steers, where he designed and executed the firm’s ex. US wholesale and sub-advisory distribution strategy. James has over 25 years of investment distribution experience across EMEA, US, and Latam, having worked with Principal, AXA IM, Cazenove and HSBC, gaining extensive experience across all traditional and non-traditional/illiquid asset classes.

Cahill and Pichert will be both based in London and will join the team led by Business Development Head Axel Maier - formerly the Head of Asia for Macquarie Investment Management and Head of Europe at Wellington Management. Their international expertise in the asset management industry will be key in accelerating and consolidating the international expansion of the Fintech company.

Yvonne says: “MDOTM is quickly becoming the European leader in Artificial Intelligence in an industry like asset management that is lagging on innovation: its state-of-the-art technology can add value and provide stability for the investment returns of institutional investors”.

“It’s a privilege to work with pioneers in the field of such a game changing approach to investment management as AI. With some of the longest and highly successful live AI investment track records, I believe MDOTM is an extremely credible partner for institutional investors worldwide and am excited to be part of the team” adds James Cahill.

Axel Maier, Global Head of Business Development, declared: “I’m really proud to bring such experienced professionals on board and keep MDOTM expanding even when conditions are not favorable and most of the industry is having a hard time. The next few years will be fundamental in consolidating our presence in Europe and expanding outside of it: our people’s experience and capabilities will be crucial.”
