GL Trade appoints Herbert Robijn MD of Dutch office

GL TRADE has appointed Herbert Robijn as Managing Director of its Amsterdam Office.

Robijn is the founder of IRIS, a company specialized in software for options trading and market making which GL TRADE acquired in 2004.

His new role is to develop GL TRADE's cross asset business in front to back office product lines in the Netherlands and to oversee the global development of GL RUBYX, the automated & smart option trading system. He will be in charge of managing the office's 25 staff split between Customers Sales/Support and GL RUBYX development.

"Herbert brings us strong expertise of the Dutch market," comments Patrick Tessier, CEO of GL TRADE London Northern Europe Business Unit to which the Amsterdam office reports, "I am confident that his know-how and network will serve the future development of our business in the sophisticated Dutch market place."
