Foreign exchange (FX) and international payments specialist, moneycorp, has increased its investment in the treasury industry with the appointment of Marilia Shewchenko to lead the UK launch of Rochford, the Australian treasury advisory house it acquired last year.
Formerly Head of Risk Advisory at Validus Risk Management, Marilia will be bringing Rochford’s advisory services to the European market, after a very successful decade in Australasia. Rochford’s mission is to increase the efficiency of clients’ treasury operations with a combination of advisory services and Rochford’s cloud-based treasury risk management platform. The services they provide cover areas such as FX, interest rates, commodities risk management, cash flow forecasting, currency overlay, global cash management, and hedge accounting.
With a passion for developing an in-depth understanding of clients – be it what drives the business, pain points, opportunities, or the vision of the future – Marilia is looking forward to working with companies across Europe to arrive at bespoke solutions to help businesses thrive.
Thomas Averill, Group Managing Director at Rochford, said:
“Rochford is thrilled to have recruited Marilia to lead our UK business, she brings a wealth of experience and the kind of dynamism that’s valued highly by the leadership team here at Rochford and our clients alike.”
Marilia Shewchenko, newly appointed UK Managing Director at Rochford, said:
“The appointment is a very exciting opportunity to join my European expertise with Rochford’s experience in Australasia, and moneycorp’s impressive platform and depth of knowledge in the market – that will allow us to take our services to the next level.”
Acquired by moneycorp in 2019, Rochford is one of Australia’s largest independent treasury advisors that offer individual solutions to clients to help manage the impact of treasury risks.
