A key pillar of the ICG Operations and Technology (O&T) strategy is having an integrated business alignment that drives partnership, client service and innovation.
We continuously explore opportunities to strengthen our business model, bring in and support the best talent and evaluate how we are best organized.
As part of this effort, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Shahmir Khaliq as the Global Head of a combined Operations and Technology organization supporting Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS). Shahmir joins us from Equities and Securities Services, where he is the Global Head of Direct Custody and Clearing. Shahmir has more than 27 years of leadership experience across various ICG businesses, including Markets and Securities Services, Banking and Country/Regional Management. We look forward to welcoming Shahmir into ICG O&T to help drive our organization and support the significant business growth demonstrated by TTS. He will report to Stuart and join his management team and will also become a member of Naveed’s executive committee. The process to replace Shahmir in his current DCC role will commence immediately. Shahmir will continue to provide oversight to DCC until his replacement is announced.
Nick Nadgauda will continue to lead TTS Technology, reporting to Shahmir. In addition to Nick’s TTS Technology role we are pleased to announce that he will also lead ICG’s digital experience team. The ICG’s management team recognizes the importance of delivering an exceptional client experience and we have decided to invest in a team that will focus on ensuring that the digital client services we provide offer the best possible user experience. Andrew Blackman, who currently runs the user experience team for Foreign Exchange, will now report to Nick and we will expand the team to cover the whole of ICG.
As part of these changes, Amir Karimi will move into a new role in TTS FI Sales. A separate announcement will be sent out to that effect. We would like to thank Amir for his leadership of TTS Operations and wish him the best in his new role. All of Amir’s directs will report directly to Shahmir and Amir will support Shahmir as he transitions into his new role.
