ONPEX, a leading provider of multi-currency IBAN accounts, has appointed professionally-qualified banking expert, Murray Sims, as CEO of its Luxembourg operations.
The appointment represents a further step in strengthening ONPEX’ management team to facilitate the company’s future business strategy.
Murray will be instrumental in scaling up the business, operationally, now that is has reached an inflexion point following the success of its Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) platform launch. With a strengthened management team, its Payment Institution License granted by the CSSF in Luxembourg and a proven proprietary system, ONPEX now has all the drivers needed to significantly expand the business.
Murray has over 40 years of commercial experience in the banking industry. As a qualified banker, he has served a range of sectors, including commercial, financial and retail. Having worked in various distinctive markets around the world - including five GCC countries in the Middle East and countries in the Far East, South Africa, Europe and the UK - Murray will be applying his knowledge of the global market to help ONPEX formulate and realise its global growth strategy.

Christoph Tutsch, Founder of ONPEX, will take on a new role as Chief Innovation Officer of the business. Christoph will focus on evolving the strategy and vision of ONPEX, driving the ONPEX name as its Brand Ambassador, and further developing the next growth cycle of the company.

Murray is both a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Bankers and holder of a Masters in Business Administration from Henley Management College, UK.
