SIBS, a leader in payments processing and financial technological services in Europe, has just opened new facilities in Castelo Branco, in the Center of Portugal, where it will welcome 200 new employees in the coming months, reinforcing investment in the region and in its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) unit in that city.

SIBS is present in Castelo Branco since 2012, currently employing 300 people in its BPO continuity teams, namely in Back office services.

These new facilities fulfill SIBS’ goal of consolidating and complementing its teams in Lisbon by decentralizing BPO operations and ensuring an active-active operational system.

The new jobs represent a SIBS’ investment for the development of region’s economy, being, in parallel, an opportunity for young people in that city to be able to develop their career where they have born or live, in one of the largest companies that has activity in the region.

The Municipality has created the right conditions for business to establish, helping companies like SIBS to choose Castelo Branco as the ideal place to decentralize their activity and services, thus creating positive outcomes for the region itself.

“Castelo Branco is a city with a young, active and highly professional population that has been helping SIBS to grow its business in the region”, says João Luis Baptista, SIBS’ Member of Executive Board of Directors and COO, adding that “We are sure that the investment in these new facilities demonstrate SIBS’ strong commitment to the region, ensuring that the company has suitable levels of operational resilience, by locating its business in different geographic areas and, thus, following best market practices”.

SIBS is a national reference for Business Process Outsourcing, providing services that uniquely combine technology and workforce. Complementing its technological solutions with efficient and effective teams, SIBS positions itself as an important business partner in the digital process transformation market, working in industries such as Banking, Insurance, Healthcare, Telecommunications, Utilities and Distribution.
