Equifax hires former Amazon man as chief product and marketing officer

Equifax, the consumer and business insights expert, has appointed Jayadeep Nair as Chief Product and Marketing Officer for its UK and Ireland business.

With over two decades of experience in financial services across product and propositions development, Jayadeep will oversee all product and marketing activities at Equifax across the UK and Ireland. He will be based in London and report directly to Patricio Remón, President for Europe.

Jayadeep joins from Amazon, where he was Head of Payment Acceptance and Experience EU, responsible for payment acceptance and developing new payment experiences for customers shopping on Amazon websites throughout Europe. Prior to this, Jayadeep held senior product management roles with a host of blue chip companies; including Worldpay, American Express and Citigroup.

Patricio Remón, President for Europe at Equifax, said: “Jayadeep brings a wealth of experience and expertise to this role. His approach to product development and transformation in the evolving digital arena coupled with his experience of working with fintechs, particularly in the Open Banking space, will be extremely valuable.
